DJ Farao is Nikos Malliakas from Rhodes, Greece. A freestyle dancefloor feeler DJ for more than 28 years.In the music industry since 1980, managing, promoting, event planning.

His DJ-ing career started back in 1982 at the “Disco Club Sphinx”, as an assistant DJ to DJ Sanny X (Anastasios Xenokottas –  who latter won the DMC contest in Hippodrome London).
In 83’ at the “Disco Club Sphinx” as assistant DJ to DJ Jonas Siljemrak - current president in “Warner Music Group Scandinavia”.
84’ – 86’ as resident DJ in the “Disco Club Sphinx”.
87’ – 88’ at Hi Way disco club as resident DJ.
88’ - 90’ at the “Garage” club along side with DJ Mike  Mavrakis, where house music was introduced in Rhodes, and in the summer in Kos island at the “Playboy” club. Later that year in Rhodes, at club “Opera” as resident DJ along side guest DJ Judge Jules.
90’ – 92’ in La Scala Loft as resident DJ
“Amphitheatre”, a house music club in Lindos, followed in 93’.
Between 93’ and 97’ “COSMIX International ltd” was created along side with Thanasis Kalogirou. COSMIX was a DJ managing company based in London. Danny Tenaglia, Jeff Mills, Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier are some of the DJs run by COSMIX at the time.
In 97’ through 2000 “Natural High”, “Baseline” and “Selini” clubs were created. Dj Farao and Dj Mike where both co-owners and resident DJs at the clubs.
84- 2000 he has appear as guest in several club’s as ( Space, Aquarius, Zig Zag Obsession, Camden Palace, Legends London, Kinky Bampolina, 303 club, Baduz, Nemesis, Mojo, Paradiso, Danza club Athens  )  
U.M.A. was created in 2000 by Dj Farao and Dj Mike. The company had a vinyl shop among other music related services that included managing, licensing and promoting DJs.
01’ -  06’ resident DJ at Santana Club in the Old Town of Rhodes.
In 2006 “DanceFloor Resolutions” was created in Rhodes by DJ Farao and DJ Mike. DFR is a team that promotes the dance scene through music events. The team works with the “Funktion – One” Sound system. Some of the DJs who participated in the events are Jimmy Van M and Guy J, G Pal, DJ Kleopatra, DJ Lefki, DJ Mikee, Dj Romylos, DJ Mikelle, Liquid Light, RTA aka George Kagais, DJ Chris Chrisafidis, DJ Stathis Lazaridis to mention a few.
From 06’-10’ DanceFloor Resolutions organize more than 80 dance events.
At the present day, DFR is moving dancefloors with the “Funktion - One” Sound System.
